There are a number of ways to commute to Direct Meats, we are only a 12 minute drive from the A12 – A1124 exit or a 25 minute bus journey from Colchester town to Chappel.

Commuting by car
From the A12 you will need to take the exit onto the A1124. Follow the A1124 through Gallow’s Green, Ford Street and Rose Green all the way. You will then come to a junction within Chappel, take a left onto The Street and follow it down to Chappel Hill, then Swan Street. Follow Swan Street down until you reach our entrance on the right.
There are alternative routes from the A120 via Great Tey Rd.

Commuting by train
Chappel Station is on the Marks Tey branch line.
Trains to Marks Tey are on the Colchester → Liverpool Street main line.
Walks from Chappel Station to our site on Swan street are typically around 30 minutes.

Commuting by bus
Bus no 88 or 88A to Chappel. From the Post Office in Chappel, take a left down The Street and continue walking down to Swan Street and our entrance is on the right side of the road.

Consider car sharing with a colleague, it is cheaper, environmentally friendly, you’ll have company to and from work and it’s a great way to make friends!
