  • A letter from a partner

“Had to drop you a line after my recent visit to Direct Meats to work with your current apprentices on their Theory and Practical work. It was so refreshing to see their progression both on the course and within the company. It is amazing to see that a former apprentice and one who is now at the end of his programme now running the Pork cutting room with both such professionalism and enthusiasm.

This is testament to all at Direct Meats who help drive forward the apprenticeship programme.

Wishing you continued success, kind regards.”

  • A Partner Testimonial

“Since its inception 10 years ago, “A Passion to Inspire ” has built partnerships with great businesses to help develop and Inspire not just Young Chefs but lecturers too, and to build bridges between education, industry and producers having the support since the start from Martin Blackwell and his fantastic team at Direct Meats.

This includes anything and everything from great factory show rounds, introducing these young Chefs to great farmers such as Dingley Dell, Creedy Carver and Celtic Pride, which has now lead to new farm visits and taking the educational loop full circle.

With having such rare breed produce, Martin and his team have supported the “A Passion to Inspire” competition(s) and inspire thousands of students and lecturers over the years as well as supporting and raising over £200,000 by donating produce to stunning dinners in the aid of Teenage Cancer Trust and the NSPCC.

It is an honour and privilege to work with people like Martin and his team.”
